Following on from the third successive Drivers' Championship clinched by Sebastian Vettel after a dramatic 2012 season finale in Brazil, we take a look back in pictures at another incredible season for both Infiniti's Global Brand Ambassador and our partners, Red Bull Racing
Infiniti Global Brand Ambassador, Sebastian Vettel, today secured his third consecutive Drivers’ Championship title in Brazil after finishing sixth in a thrilling end-of-season finale in very challenging conditions, joining Formula One’s record books as the youngest driver to achieve this extraordinary feat. Mark Webber finished fourth and ended the season in sixth place in the Championship. The results today leave Infiniti-partners, Red Bull Racing, as double World Champions again, for the third time in a row, after one of the most closely-fought Formula One seasons in recent years.
It's the last race of the 2012 season and tomorrow, the F1 World Drivers' Championship will be decided. Infiniti-partners, Red Bull Racing, sealed victory this weekend in the 2012 F1 Constructors’ Championship, their third consecutive title and a truly Inspired Performance. After an incredible qualifying lap, Sebastian secured pole position for his 100th Grand Prix with team mate Mark Webber third on the grid. It proved to be a nail-biting race, with Sebastian finishing on the podium in second place and maintaining a 13-point lead in the Drivers’ Championship, which will now be decided at the last race of the season in Brazil next weekend. Mark’s race ended in an unfortunate retirement after a good start.
Sebastian Vettel began his 100th race weekend with an incredible qualifying performance to finish in pole position for tomorrow's US Grand Prix at the new Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. Team mate Mark Webber was not far behind in 3rd place.
